The Indian Academy of Shooting Sport, 27 Sep 2017. 9th South Zone shooting championship was conducted Tamilnadu state from 21st to 26 Aug 2017.

ELECTIONS OF NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION OF INDIA (NRAI)
The Indian Academy of Shooting Sport, Guntur-09-Jul-2017. The elections of NRAI were held today at PCA Cricket Ground, Mohali, Punjab Mr. Raninder Singh, the incumbent President was successfully re elected for third term of four years. He defeated Mr. Shyam Singh Yadav with a sweeping margin. Mr. Raninder Singh got 89 valid votes out of 90 votes. Mr. Shyam Singh Yadav got one vote.
Mr. D V Seetharama Rao was unanimously re elected as Secretary General for the second term. Similarly, Mr. Karan Kumar was elected as Treasurer of the Association. He replaced Mr. Sanjeev Bahl, who completed his second term as Treasurer.
There are many new faced inducted in the Governing Body of NRAI. Mr. K N Singh Deo, M.P. has been unanimously elected as Senior Vice President. He hails from Orissa is a member of Parliament (Lok Sabha)
The members for the posts of Senior Vice President, Secretary General, Joint Secretary Generals, Treasurer and Members of Governing Body of NRAI were elected unanimously. Elections were conducted for the posts of President, Vice Presidents (8) and Hony. Secretaries (6).

Miss Tejaswi Boyapati was champion of the Air Pistol event and Master Hitesh Nelavelli was champion of the Air Rifle Peep Sight event.

65-year-old shooter sets National Record
The Indian Academy of Shooting Sport, Guntur, AP: Nirmal Yadav, aged 65, set a national record at the recently concluded 60th National Shooting Championship in Pune.
The shooter from Delhi shot 341/400 to set the meet record in the Veteran Women’s 10m Air Pistol event.
“I am very happy to make a mark in this sport and now am even more motivated to train hard and better my scores,” said Nirmal.

Tokyo 2020: ISSF Ad-Hoc Committee releases Shooting program recommendations
The Indian Academy of shooting Sport, Guntur 6 Jan 2017, ISSF 25 Nov 2016 , The ISSF Ad Hoc Committee released its recommendations to establish gender equality in the Olympic Program.
The ISSF Ad-Hoc Committee, meeting in Munich, Germany, released today its recommendations to establish gender equality in the Olympic Program. These recommendations are in response to the requirements of the International Olympic Committee’s Agenda 2020. The IOC is now working with International Federations “to achieve 50 per cent female participation in the Olympic Games and to stimulate women’s participation and involvement in sport by creating more participation opportunities at the Olympic Games” by Tokyo 2020. The IOC is also encouraging “the inclusion of mixed-gender team events,”– consisting in one male and one female athlete competing for the same nation.
